Manage Pairs - Admin

Administrators can pair users on their platform and manage paired users.

Manage Pairs

Administrators can manage pairs by navigating to admin panel > users > manage pairs.

A pairing (between tutor and student) is automatically created when a session is booked (booking a session creates an online link between the users). An admin can also manually pair two users (see instructions below). All pairs (regardless of how the pairing has been made) are visible in the Manage Pairs section of the User Roster.

How to manually pair users

The screenshot above shows a blue “pair users” button in the top right corner. Click on this button to manually pair a tutor and student.

Use the drop-down arrow to select the program (if your platform has multiple subprograms) in which you would like to create a pair. If you only have one program, select that program.

After you select a program, the window will expand and you can select the name of the tutor and student you would like to pair. Click the blue “create pairing” button to finish the pairing. The new pair will now show on the Manage Pairs page.

Unpair Users

To unpair a single tutor and a single student, click on the red “unpair” button on the right. Clicking will generate a reminder that unpairing does not remove existing sessions (navigate to Manage Sessions and click the blue “details” button on the right to delete sessions between these two users)

Once sessions have been deleted, click the red “unpair users” button to complete the pairing process. The green box at the bottom of the screen lets you know that these users have been successfully unpaired.

To unpair all users, click the orange “Unpair All Users” button in the top right corner of the Manage Pairs page

A pop-up will ask you to select the program from which all users should be unpaired

Unpairing all users is an efficient way to remove all existing pairs, but it is not a step to be taken accidentally. For this reason, a warning will appear as soon as you select the program from which pairs will be removed. In order to proceed with unpairing all users, you must type the words “I wish to continue” before you can click the red button to “Unpair Users”
